My practice is informed by a few basic beliefs: I believe that people are doing the best that they can with the resources they have available to them; I believe with adequate support and guidance, we all have the ability to develop new skills and reach our potential; and I believe that therapy is grounded in a trusting relationship, which is enhanced by my clinical knowledge.

My approach combines multiple modalities to tailor treatment to your individual needs and is rooted in the understanding that adaptability is key to success. I enjoy working with individuals and families, as well as adolescents and parents. I believe in meeting my clients where they are in order to strengthen coping, interpersonal, parenting and life skills that can be implemented to make daily life easier.

Prior to working in an outpatient therapy setting, I enjoyed 7 years in community-based therapy and crisis intervention. I have worked with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health difficulties, as well as adults with severe/persistent mental illness and substance use issues. I believe that my skill set enables me to work with individuals and families experiencing a variety of issues and I strive to provide culturally competent and non-judgmental care to a variety of clients including those in the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

I applaud you for taking the first, often difficult, step towards growth and change and look forward to working with you!
