At Be Herd, I provide therapy in a peaceful farm setting, offering clients the opportunity to sit, walk along trails, or interact with animals during our sessions. I thrive in working with clients who want more clarity and understanding in their lives. My pragmatic and compassionate approach will help you feel more clear so you can navigate challenging relationships and situations that currently feel overwhelming. With greater insight you will be able to understand why it is hard to control your reactions/emotions or understand why your partner does not understand your needs. My goal is to help you learn skills in conflict resolution, communication, coping, and boundary setting while keeping in mind that each relationship in your life is unique to you. When working with adults I am comfortable in exploring relationship challenges, managing workplace stressors, processing separation/divorce, and understanding the importance of painful experiences. Helping people feel more wholly themselves is why I entered the therapy profession.

My specialized approach with families is parent focused- addressing the important role parents play in their child’s life by building skills in parenting responses and supporting parents in their child’s developmental journey. I service children by thorough assessment, advocacy in school supports, and focusing on developmentally appropriate therapy goals. I work with each age group in a specific way to address the unique symptoms and challenges at each age. My philosophy is that skillful parents can support more skillful children. I enjoy working with young clients who are often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. The parent and I will explore together the meaning behind their child's behavior and how to respond in the most beneficial way. For parents interested in a more directive approach I offer parent-coaching services.

I am skilled in working with children and adults that are neurodiverse (ASD (level 1), ADHD) and children with challenging behaviors. In addition I strive to provide non-judgmental care to a variety of clients including those in the LGBTQ+ communities.
