Insurance Updates - 2026

Current clients: If you intend to use insurance for appointments in 2026, check that we are in-network with a new plan before enrolling. Search your plan’s provider directory online or call your insurer to confirm if your therapist or Be Herd LLC is included. For Marketplace plans, we are out-of-network with some new options, even if the insurance company is listed below. Please verify our network status before finalizing coverage.

Insurances:

We accept the following insurances listed below.  Before your first appointment we will contact your carrier and inquire about copays, deductibles and whether behavioral health services are covered under your plan.  If services are not covered, you have the option to “self-pay” or we can supply you with a Superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.

• Aetna and First Health Network PPO Plans
• Aetna SHP - Clear Pricing Project in-network providers (State Health Plan)
• Anthem/ BCBS PPO Plans
• CBHA (Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance)
• Cigna/Evernorth (PPO and NC Connect HMO Plans)
• First Carolina Care
• Medcost
• Optum VA CCN (not every provider is in-network)
• Tricare Select (Primary policy holders will need an authorized referral from Tricare)
• UnitedHealth Care (not every provider is in-network)
• UMR/UBH/Optum (not every provider is in-network)
• We are Out of Network with all Medicare and Medicaid plans and do not participate in Employee Assistance Programs

Self-pay rate:

- Strictly telehealth - $125 per appointment
- In-Person - $145 per appointment

Payment policy:  Payments for services are due on or before the date of service.

Late Cancellation Policy:  Please be advised that appointments cancelled less than 24 hours from their scheduled time are subject to a $50 late cancellation fee.  Some providers have different policies that override the general policy.  Please ask your provider if you have any questions.
